Language has the ability to shape how people feel, how they relate to others, and how they experience support. In trauma-informed environments—whether clinical, community-based, peer-support, educational, or personal—the words we use can either strengthen trust or unintentionally reinforce barriers. This workshop is designed for professionals, peers, caregivers, and community members seeking to elevate their communication skills through inclusive, invitational, and intentional language practices.
The workshop offers a deep exploration of how shifting everyday language can improve interactions in mental health, behavioral health, and general wellness spaces. Whether you work directly with clients or simply want to improve how you show up for others, this training provides meaningful, applicable skills that promote healing and connection.
Participants will earn 1.5 CEUs through the Nevada State Board of Social Work.
