Dr. Johnson currently serves as the Director of Behavioral Health at Inclusivcare Medical Center. With more than 30 years of experience working in the behavioral science field, he previously served as an Associate Professor of Addictive Behaviors Counseling at Southern University at New Orleans. Prior to that, he served as a Noncommissioned Officer in the U.S. Army. Additionally, he is the founder and clinical director of T. Johnson & Associates, LLC, a private practice in counseling. Dr. Johnson holds an undergraduate degree in Business from Southern University at Baton Rouge and a Master of Arts Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Xavier University at New Orleans. He holds a PhD in Counselor Education from the University of Holy Cross with a research interest in The Lived Experiences of African American Males who have had Contact with the Criminal Justice System. Dr. Johnson is a License Professional Counselor, a License Addictions Counselor, and a Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor. He is the published author of The Gift of Fatherhood, a chronicle of his experience raising his three successful sons. Dr. Johnson lives in Harvey, LA with his wife of 42 years, Leatrice. He attends St. Martha Catholic Church. Dr. Johnson is a member of the Louisiana State Governor's Board on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency and a Life Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
