Stephanie Slowly Little, MSW, serves as the Executive Director of NAMI Maryland, where she leads the organization’s mission to provide education, advocacy, and support for individuals and families affected by mental illness. A licensed clinical social worker and seasoned public health executive, Stephanie brings more than 17 years of experience in behavioral health, policy innovation, and organizational transformation.
Her leadership has centered on strengthening systems of care, expanding equitable access, and empowering communities to shape solutions through advocacy and lived experience. She has successfully managed more than $100 million in grant programs, spearheaded statewide initiatives, and led reforms that improved efficiency and expanded behavioral health services.Stephanie is deeply committed to NAMI’s grassroots movement, fostering peer and family engagement, and building partnerships that transform mental health policy and practice across Maryland. She holds a bachelor's in psychology, a Master’s in Social Work, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Public Health.
