Jenna Possidento is the Recovery Support Specialist Manager at the Crisis Response Center, where she leads a dynamic team of Recovery Support Specialists who share personal lived experience, strength and hope with our clients. With over a decade of experience, Jenna has a proven track record of success in both mental and behavioral health. Prior to joining the Connections Health Solutions team, Jenna held key positions for the State of Arizona which included the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections. Jenna began her journey in the Juvenile Justice system while studying Criminal Justice in College. Jenna started her career as a Youth Corrections Officer in 2011 and was assigned to a Substance Abuse Unit, which was specifically for youth with drug-related felonies. There, she learned special substance abuse programming for youth such as 7 Challenges, which was part of their treatment and sentencing requirements prior to release. In 2014 she received an award for Officer of the Year. Within that same year, she was promoted to Youth Corrections Sergeant for a specialty Emergency Response Team. As a Sergeant, she had an oversight of 13 Officers, and worked as an Officer in Charge or “OIC” on the facility grounds while on shift. While working for the Arizona Department of Corrections she was able to obtain training and become and become an expert in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, defensive training, verbal de-escalation, PREA laws, cell extraction, rooftop extraction training, and emergency lockdown/ICS drills. She retired from the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections in 2020 after almost 10 years of service. After leaving Corrections, she decided she wanted to now help others outside the fence and dedicate her career to mental health. She used her experience from Prison and began working as a Pool Behavioral Health Specialist for the Crisis Response Center. She became a Full-Time BHS in 2022. Within 6 months of employment, she was promoted to Crisis Case Manager.
