Shell M. Benjamin, M.F.A., is an internationally recognized dance educator, movement specialist, and arts leader whose career spans education, performance, and creative leadership across the United States, Europe, and Asia. A graduate of The Juilliard School, she has dedicated her career to exploring the transformative power of movement through dance education, choreography, and Dance Movement Therapy.

Throughout her distinguished career, Shell has performed on Broadway and abroad, served as the Head of Upper School Dance and Dance Company Director at The Masters School in New York, Chair of Theater and Dance at Shorter University in Georgia, Co-Chair of Ailey’s Dance Camp in Chicago, and Chair of Dance at the Chicago Academy for the Arts. Internationally, she has ministered through dance in Pretoria South Africa, Amsterdam, and Indonesia, led the Guided Lights Dance Company in The Netherlands, and taught as a guest artist with Cloud Gate in Taiwan. Known for inspiring artists of all ages to discover their authentic voice through movement, Shell brings a wealth of experience, insight, and global perspective to every conversation—making her a compelling voice on the power of dance, creativity, and the arts.
