Susan has a background in education and social services. She is trained as a NAMI Family Facilitator and has published two books - "Help Me Find the Stairs", and "Grace Notes". In addition, she has lived experience with mental illness personally and with family members. She feels NAMI and its affiliates have given her support and practical ways to deal with the challenges she has faced.
