Faith communities are often where people turn first when they or their loved ones are struggling with mental health challenges. NAMI FaithNet provides a powerful framework for building bridges between NAMI affiliates and local congregations—creating stigma-free, mental health-friendly environments rooted in trust, empathy, and community care.
This interactive workshop equips NAMI affiliates with the tools, strategies, and confidence to launch FaithNet in their local areas. Participants will learn how to use NAMI FaithNet and Bridges of Hope resources to engage faith leaders and foster sustainable partnerships. The workshop also features real-world insights from affiliates and faith leaders who have implemented FaithNet in diverse settings. These examples offer honest reflections on what works, common challenges to anticipate, and strategies for adapting the model to different cultural, spiritual, and community contexts.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Leave with a clear and practical roadmap for launching FaithNet and strengthening trust within their communities
- Have clarity, structure, and confidence to build bridges of hope that are both impactful and enduring
