This session will share new data, insights, and lessons from NAMI’s Cross-Cultural Innovation and Engagement for Culturally Informed Engagement, highlighting how culturally grounded strategies are expanding NAMI’s reach, strengthening trust, and improving mental health outcomes across diverse communities. Participants will explore the measurable impact of two cornerstone initiatives: Pathways to Hope, NAMI’s annual faith-based mental health conference, and Sharing Hope, a culturally responsive program designed to increase awareness and encourage help-seeking among historically underserved communities. Presenters will show how faith-based partnerships, storytelling, peer-led conversations, intergenerational outreach, and collaboration with colleges, HBCUs, and affiliates can foster trust and long-term engagement. Attendees will leave with practical examples, lessons learned, and adaptable strategies to strengthen culturally informed engagement in their own communities.
