My name is Colleen Blake-Miller, and I’m currently leading the Counseling Ministry at New Mercies.
Over the past few months, our Counseling Ministry has been building a mental health resource referral list to help connect congregants with trusted services when mental health needs arise. In addition, we’ve recently recorded and are producing a series of psychoeducational videos designed to support mental health awareness and education within our church family. These efforts are part of a broader commitment to break the stigma around mental health, particularly within faith-based communities and the Black community.
