Shannon Errickson is a former director on the NAMI Albuquerque Board of Directors. She became an active member of NAMI after attending Family Support Group and taking the 12-week Family to Family course in 2016. She is a leader in the following programs: Family to Family, Family Support Group, Family and Friends and Ending the Silence. She has served on an affiliate board as Education Night Director, Secretary, Vice President and interim President. She has assisted with NAMIWalks in various capacities and was employed as Office Manager for NAMI New Mexico from October 2019 through March 2021. Shannon’s work history includes working with real estate contracts as an administrative assistant, childcare supervisor, records specialist for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant and substitute teaching. When her three children were in school, she was mainly a stay-at-home mom and now enjoys watching her six-month old granddaughter during the week. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in English from Saint Mary College, Leavenworth KS. She looks forward to her volunteer work with NAMI Albuquerque, particularly in the area of promotion and expansion of the programs. It is extremely important to her that NAMI become a well-known organization in our community.
