Jennifer Rauman is a NAMI Family Support leader. She shares “A dear friend and mentor told me one day that she was about to start teaching a Family-to-Family class and that she thought I should join. She knew the side of our family life I tried to keep hidden. That was about 2000. One of the things that has kept me in NAMI these 25 years is all the help I have gotten from others as I teach and facilitate, help in making sense of a lifetime of being surrounded by bipolar people in every generation. The other thing, of course, is the chance to share NAMI's education and my personal experiences in settings where NAMI and my colleagues and I can help other people.”
