Speaker Bio
Jeremy Chino is a Marine Corps veteran with over three decades of distinguished federal
service, including roles with the U.S. Marine Corps, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and
the Indian Health Service. Beginning in 2017, he served as a Certified Peer Specialist with
the VA Homeless Veterans Program, dedicating his efforts to helping veterans secure
stable housing, foster meaningful connections, and reintegrate into civilian life.
In 2020, Jeremy helped launch the Veterans Endorsement Training (VET), an initiative
designed to introduce military culture and foundational instruction to community providers
who work with veterans. As a group member of VET facilitators, he partnered with Forward
Flag Wellness Center to expand the program statewide.
Driven by commitment to growth and impact, Jeremy has pursued additional credentials,
including certification as a Peer Specialist Trainer (2025), Mental Health Coach (2024), and
in Comprehensive Community Support Services (2022). His deep engagement in the
veteran community extends through roles with organizations such as the Mighty Oaks
Foundation (Outpost Leader), Sound Off (Peer Support Worker), Give an Hour (Wellness
Ambassador), America’s Warrior Partnership (Advocate), and Onward Ops (Sponsor).
Currently, Jeremy serves as a Community Engagement & Partnerships Coordinator,
focusing on building collaborative networks for suicide prevention and assisting rural
communities in navigating and accessing statewide veteran resources and services.
