Belonging is a fundamental human need and a powerful protective factor for mental health. When people feel seen, valued and connected, they are more likely to seek support, remain engaged in care and experience improved well-being.
This session explores how inclusion, representation and meaningful community connection influence mental health outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
Participants will examine how social exclusion, stigma and structural barriers contribute to mental health disparities, particularly among communities that have experienced systemic marginalization. Speakers will share real-world examples of inclusive practices and community partnerships that help build trust and strengthen engagement in mental health support and services.
